LinkedInChristopher holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from NTNU and has more than seven years of experience with patents, IP strategy and technology commercialisation, including as a former Senior Advisor IPR at Innovation Norway. His background as a software developer, founder and active startup-community participant brings a practical perspective to how technology works, creates value and should be protected.
He has been nominated by the Norwegian Industrial Property Office (Patentstyret) for the European Patent Office’s Candidate Support Programme (CSP) towards the European Qualifying Examination (EQE).

Technical breadth and case experience
Hands-on experience across the entire patent process: from technical and legal groundwork, novelty assessments and extensive IP mapping to clarify whether technology falls within the scope of existing patents (freedom to operate), to drafting patent applications (claims and description), prosecution before patent offices and work related to opposition proceedings.

Marine, offshore and subsea
Structures, mooring and mechanical solutions for offshore wind, subsea hooks and lifting equipment, sealing rings for subsea and offshore pipes, flexible attachment mechanisms for BOP risers, control systems for sailing vessels and engines, as well as life vests and maritime safety equipment.
Aquaculture and marine technology
Tanks, flow conditions and closed processes in aquaculture, solar solutions on fish farming pens and methods using thawing of fish for transport and buoyancy, as well as assessment of patentable elements in solutions combining domain technology with digitalisation and machine learning.
Energy and thermal systems
EV charging infrastructure, energy management, power electronic components and water heaters.
Mobility, transport and sensing
Sensor solutions for heavy transport, including detection of stones between dual wheels on trailers, and mechanical charging of EV batteries triggered by door opening.
